Join us for a week of Lebanon-themed events in London as part of the Institute for Global Prosperity (UCL) 10th Anniversary to recognise the work we’ve been doing in Lebanon with our partners, citizen scientists and other academics.
Dates: 18 - 22 March 2024
The theme of the week is ‘The politics of decolonial investigations and the ethics of solidarity’ and will bring together academics, thinkers, citizen scientists and innovators to explore the kinds of ethical forms of knowledge production and social solidarity that must drive action towards better social, economic and environmental futures, that challenge colonial structures of domination and global epistemic injustice.
We will also be discussing the key challenges and opportunities for developing a Green New Deal for Lebanon and the MENA region. The imminent threats of climate change call for a swift and comprehensive approach that combines sustainable economic development, decolonial politics, and ecological responsibility for a more equitable and resilient future for the region.
